Day 11
Elmer Towns writes that one of the purposes for fasting is to satisfy your hunger. That seems crazy but I agree. If you want to get your hunger for God satisfied you seek Him more diligently. I have seen over the years that when I move in the direction of God He seems to meet me more than halfway.
Most people get to a place of spiritual dryness sooner or later. It can be caused by many things. Busyness, spiritual boredom, excessive stress or a hundred other things can be the root of emptiness and hunger for more of God. But be assured that if you seek Him you will find Him. In fact I think God truly loves to be sought out by us.
Jer 29:12-14 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.14 I will be found by you, says the LORD, NKJV
During this fast I encourage you to see how close to God you can get. God never disappoints when someone goes hard after Him.
Ps 34:10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. NKJV
God Bless You in your quest for more of Jesus,
Pastor Andy
